    RG150 front forks seals

Hi all, just spent the last 2.5 days trying to replace my fork seals (most people say it takes around 45 mins - 2 hrs, 3 days for me!)

So I managed to get the damper rod out on both forks but only one oil seal . I can not for the life of me get the oil seal out on the non-brake side. Doesn't even budge 1mm. Done the "put-in-vice-and-pull-as-hard-as-you-can" technique and the "fill-up-with-oil-and-pressurize-them-out" technique with no luck.

If I don't get any advice by the end of tonight I'm going to Mt Eden Motorcylces in the morning and getting them to do it!

With the RG 150 there are two problems
    1) they're in super tight, not helped by years of corrosion and crap.
    2) the lower (male) bush is only 1mm bigger than the upper (female) bush so
when you try to use force by shock or extraction rod, the male bushe tries to force it's way thru the female . This wrecks the bushes, jams the whole assembly.
I have a special tool that's an expanding collar that goes down past the seal. Once expanded it extracts the seal with no force to the bushes.

That could of saved me $60 to get one seal removed

Went to Red Baron and they filled it with oil then squished it and the seal popped.

I would never have admitted to that.........
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

Yea but when you don't have the tools and none of your mates do and you desperately want to get your bike back on the road it's not too bad. Atleast it didn't make a massive mess all over my garage floor.
