... on that note we could get our dogs to park our bikes that would be technically aloud as it says 'NO PERSON SHALL PARK A MOTORBIKE'

so we start to gather in Oriental bay itself start parking by the fisherman table and spread outwards????
or from the start of oriental bay proper
or start back at the pool(the other side of the driveway to the carpark)
Megaphone sourced
1st official piece of Wellington BRONZ infrastructure purchsed at very sharp price (40% disc)
Treasurer and the VP agreed, worthy cause as we can re-deploy it for training courses, charity events....and ACC protests (or any other supported civil event)
Yep.... a 43w Megaphone
I just asked a mate who (works with the council) regarding Oriental Parks
ALL Time Zoned parks are public and not bound by the pay and display meter rules
So from his recall of the layout, just past the pool to the end of the parking area's is bike friendly carparks, and no dedicated bike zone is there which makes us perfectly eligible Saturday users, as long as we obey the TIME limits
Kari knows who I speak of methinks
;P

there is one bike park just after the pool but we can pretend it dosnt exist

Have fun you guys will be thinking of you all while sipping the lattee on the Viaduct at 07.30 hrs on Satdee.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
I didn't know that you can't park a bike in a pay n display?? although common sense tells me I wouldn't as I can't gauruntee the ticket will stay on the bike etc.
Anyway my point is - is that rule clearly displayed on a pay n display machine?? can't say I have seen it anywhere. And if you didn't know on the weekend when you don't have to have a ticket how would you know you couldnt park there??
(unless you read this thread of course!!)
i havent seen it displayed on a pay and display machine...i am gona park my bike in a pay and display(not this sat),and i will photograph the ticket and leave the ticket on the bike.Gonna get a registration type pocket on my lil windsheild..if they ticket i am gonna say...i had a ticket and here is the evidence...
Does anyone know how long you can park in one of these parks?
For instance, if it's say 2 hours, it might be good to know so a second wave could come in around 10 to replace the bikes/bikers who are full up on coffee.

so whats the point then?... sorry not getting at you K,
but hey, if we park in town that is metered, pay for the ticket..
attach the ticket to the bike
how can they say that is not allowed???
what is the difference to the other places??????? as long as you have the ticket on the bike..??????
what a ride so far!!!!
The pay and display all at the ned we aint gonna be gathering in anyway. moot issue
The end we intended to target, if I recall the geography, is all time zones, 30-60 and some 120's (I think anyway)
Just ride.
