Im driving to Taupo on Saturday evening and getting my pit area and tent set up. Big entrys this year, 260 or more. I think it was 230 last year and there wasnt much space left

You going to setup at the old end or at the new? It seems that an area is now available somewhere at the 'new' end. Apparently it has showers and everything?

New end, Thats were I have camped the last 2 years, thats were all competitors, pit crew and marshalls camp. The grass area at the back of the pits was chocka, great atmosphere

I think camping is available at the old end for the BADD group

The showers were locked last year, was a good but somewhat "Smelly" atmosphere by the end of day 2 lol

Plenty of good racing down there, but its the last time I ride the 600 down though...knees were gone by Onga.

Off to taupo tomorrow to practice with the small Italians, and hopefully pick up some speed for Wanganui & Taupo over the weekend(will need plenty of it with the speed theyre going!). Spent 3 hours yesterday going over the bike, only a few things tonight and that'll be it.
