Fine line between doing something for reward and not.
Was more waiting for someone to chime up with the offer than you needing to ask. Would offer myself, but dont often manage to make it along these days.

Hey does anyone know how to get to the Pukematekeo Summit Trig where Mark took us to last Wednesday? I had tried to get there again myself but could not find the entry point when I got to Scenic Drive. Merry X'mas to all of you !!!

    Pukematekeo Summit

The Road is actually called "Scenic Drive" according to my map.

If you can find the intersection of Te Henga Road and Scenic Drive either on a map, via Google or physically the Pukematekeo Summit track is approximately 1.5 km south of the intersection.

The entrance track is hard to spot when heading south as it is

    a) on the right hand side of the road
    b) runs at an oblique and acute angle up the hill and you will be almost past it before you see it.

It is just after the crest of the hill that you have climbed since leaving the Te Henga Road intersection.

The road is signposted but again the sign is best spotted headed north and not south.

    Hope this helps.

    Mark W

Funny, unless I have to I do not ride on days of significance.

I know the grim reaper might just be riding faster than me on any given day but I would prefer to not have it happen on a special day.

    It's only 4 days a year.

Christmas, Boxing day, New Year and Easter. I almost always ride somewhere on my birthday.

But the listed days normally occasion more than your usual drink driving suspects and I don't wish to be a statistic that brings my family down on these days that are mostly about family... and eating too much.
