May the gods damn ye to hell, Slyr

It used to be an event to turn it on. To fire it up. A spectacle. A religious ceremony even. As I would pray with all the passion and vigour that I could muster to the all-mighty and powerful Computing Gods, to grant me a mostly-working computer with at least the majority of the harddrives running. I would even offer penance in the form of mild to moderate electric shocks every week or two.

But you have changed all this.

Now, it is nought but a soulless box. Push a button and it hums quietly into life. Even the sheer number of cable-ties used in the creation of it offers scant joy.

    What have you done Slyr?

    WHAT HAVE YE DONE?

Well you needed a new case to match your new bike, your old case was decidedly un-ninja.

When the power requirements for his components exceeded the spec of his power supply, he decided to hotwire a second power supply and hooked it up externally with his own cooling solution...

Here is his computer, as it stands now.

Apple and windows users alike flee in TERROR from the mess of cables and obvious DANGER of such a setup. Not to mention the noise, oh god the noise.

Moving this highly unstable contraption requires about 10 minutes of disconnecting endless data and power cables and that again reconnecting them. Browsing to "My Computer" and checking that all the hard drives are actually connected and functioning is a routine exercise for him, as is having a movie crap out half way through because the drive it was stored on has has lost it's power cable because something fell on it.

This electrical/fire hazard must be sent back into the depths of hell of whence it came and I need your help!
    vs

Pretty decent cable tidying job I thought, until we added all the SATA cables and fans that is.

Yes yes yes, but at least now you have more time to find all the JPEGS
    ...Last time I promise.

It is a very nice case though, fixed that noise yet?

If you couldn't tell from the first pic posted by Slyer, Jafa is Russian.

Now show the pic where all the sata cables are in there as well...

I presume he has an extra sata card for the additional drives?

Two cards, yes. And it did ruin it a bit. Especially when he insisted on adding at least 6 extra fans..

Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

Sell em and get 1 / 1.5 TB drives I reckon.

Also I don't think there's a desktop case that can HD that many drives

Yes, but using 1.5TB drives would be too excessively logical for Jafa.
    That can what?

I can see his point though. With a 1.5TB drive going tits up he loses the lot. If one of the 250GB goes to shit he's only lost a little. Fuck it , i'm off to Dick Smith to buy all their 80GB drives great success
All of this, all of this can be yours, Just give me what I want and no one gets hurt
