Wowsers - you could make a fortune taking pictures of peoples auras and prescribing healing potions (banana milkshakes after you get a 30% kickback)

    Banana seat?
Hey, maybe it wasnt the banana that helped the GN keep up... maybe it was the POWERade in martinborough?
    Yeah, nah.

    Hi guys
Thanks all for the great ride
Cheers Paul in nz for playing lead and providing the excellent area riding knowledge and diversions (saving me relying on the gps) and leading us not to gravel opps Paul forgot that road. Great effort
Thanks Quasi for the premo table spot in Martinborough to drink my first pink drink (I thought we agreed with the pack this was not going to be mentioned) Bugger - You ride fast enough for me
Rider award to huff3r for sleeping in and yet catching us up at Martinborough on his GN250 and keeping me impressed throughout the ride with it. great riding there huff3r
Thanks davebullet for the opportunity to take photos in new dimensions not seen in this world with your camera
Of course Leviticus great to have your company again and nice to see you keeping to the road not the dirt and bushes
And to Zjet who left late but tried so hard to catch up we will meet again

Had a great ride with great company what else could you ask for
Hope to ride again with your all soon and already planning another adventure (stay tuned)

ps. I took the back road by the bridge and railway Otaki and pooped back out at BP

We did our best to get it moving. Darryn threatened it by saying it's owner should sell and go jappa. Paul sussed the electrics. The owner suspected a seized motor. Maybe being an ex-cop bike, it was used to seizing other vehicles so decided to try one on itself.
Actually - the owner was a touch annoyed and was talking for sale - I was thinking of making an offer, say swapping it for the GN but suspect I'd get two people beating on me ;-)

I was hovering as I had me electrical diagnosis stuff under the seat but I don't like to rip into other folks bikes unless invited and he was concerned about the mech side of things and I'm only an amatuer hack. If he was worried about it, a cautious approach is a good one.

I quite like the look of those shovels though, particularly the way the pipes exit the heads, read too many old chopper mags i guess? Laugh seeing 'siren' on the left switchblock...

Can that backroad go all the way down to where they have the market on the south side of the township? Would be bloody useful if it does!
    Yeah, nah.

You pooped out eh? That banana was effective...

The one I mean is - heading south, just past Pukehou (sp) garden / nursery / plant / gift place, turn 1st left into South Manakau Rd, turn right into Waitohu (sp??) Valley rd (its really the same main route) and follow your nose. When you get almost back into civilisation turn left across a wee bridge into, erm, ah, Rinnga something rd. At the end of that turn right and it takes you into otaki.

I love that bit of road. Bren showed it to me and Jonesy on a thursday night ride. Every bike trip down SH1 goes via that route now
All of this, all of this can be yours, Just give me what I want and no one gets hurt

Yea Pauls right if you know Otaki's backed up beforehand or keen for a diversion I would also recommend this road even for just a short ride

Yeah, when i saw the harley duck down there i considered following, figured i'd follow the cyclist diversion signs, but wasn't sure if anyone else would follow me that way

Almost turned up to go over Paekak hill road when we went past the turn-off too, but decided against it because of the wind, and because that tosser that cut us off in the van went that way...

That gixxer at the lights in Waikanae looked purdy
    Yeah, nah.
