I've spoken with our local councillor about this problem and he is going to have something done about it. There is also a letter on the subject on the way to the CDC from the Papatowai and Districts Community Association, (PADCA)

I'm looking into the possibility of operating a bar... or does everyone want to bring their own 'exotic' stuff?

I drink Ranfurly and virtually nothing else (it's the only beer in NZ that tastes nice and doesn't give me hellish heartburn) is that exotic enuff for ye?

Never heard of it! What type of beer is it? I can always check up and see if it's available from my 'sources'.

It's beer. i.e. it's brown stuff sold in a can. I never have been able to reconcile that kiwis and aussies call lager beer though - beer is brown, lager is yellow and tastes lake cat's piss.

The reality is though ... apart from banning heavy trailers, or widening the corners. There's bugger all they can do to stop it. I've seen truckies take up both lanes of the road now, to get round some of the corners. (With or without trailers)

They have laid an extra strip of seal on the inside of many of the bends, but the one that hasn't been modified and concerns me the most is at the top of the hill above my place. I have made noises about it before, but there will now be a 3 pronged attack.

Can't we just find the culprits and beat 3 shades of crap out of them until they stop? Can't be too hard to find as there aren't too many residences along that road.

They're mostly logging and stock trucks.

Its the stock and gravel trucks that do the damage. And logging trucks. Not any of the residents (usually).
