Oh unlucky Gazbur, you were going well there for awhile too
Thanks for your concern and all the others who asked and loaded up my bike for me. Actually I consider myself to be lucky as things could have been a lot worse as it was a huge off. Got to expect the occasional bin so long as you don't take anyone else out it is part of the expected outcomes sometimes.
The bike has a lot of roll over damage and all the plastics are broken, some fixable some not. Lots of other broken bits but nothing too bad found so far, straightning the rear subfame may be a bastard though. The engine starts anyway. Was going ok for a first outing (2 thirds and a second and a dnf) but plagued by the clutch slip that restricted me to about 2/3 power. Got one run on the straight without clutch slip and sure i saw 230 kph on the speedo and wonder how accurate that would be. Should be a weapon when sorted and can get better feel out of the brakes. Would like to know why I high sided. Probably pushing too hard for the tyres or the chain was thrown locking the back wheel as it was off when the bike came to rest. Either way it was my fault as I was riding and it was me who aligned the chain.
As for me I am surprisingly good for a high side onto my back, slide then roll 360 back onto my back and slide for another fair distance. Seemed from my point of view that I slid for at least 2 minutes hah hah! Crush bruising on thumb and left ankle. Bruises up leg, thigh, and left arm that are quite deep. I am not even in any pain, and only limp for the first few steps until the muscles get used to moving again. My leathers are fine coz they stayed in my gear bag, Scotts leathers on the other hand are buggered. 2 holes in the bum and back and the back stitching ripped out. Not sure I want to buy them now Scott, they were more comfortable than mine for a while but they are a bit rough now for the price!!!
Nice to meet all you guys and hope to see you again soon. I expect to have the FZR up and running in a month or so but may get back onto the DR as it still managed to get midfield at last years Nationals Clubmans class at Levels.
Thanks to the organisers for a good meeting and booking a rain free day.

Thanks to those that turned up. Good fun day and some good racing. Somebody elses fucked leathers and a twisted subframe with sprinkling of bruises and contusions dont rate as an injury accident, thanks GaZBur. Hope to see you and the bike back with us again soon. Methven maybe?

It was my first time racing as well as being at Levels (you could probably tell as I was at the back 4 out 5 races and had a DNF due to charging probs) , I had a fanstastic day so a big thank you to all the marshalls and Cams, will definitely be back in the future.

Hope you recover to 100% soon GaZBur, never saw the crash but saw the dust.
    I love my Bucket.
