Thanks all, enjoyed the ride... though it's hard work when my wee 400 can't stay ahead on the straights then I get stuck behind folk learning to corner at the twisty bits!
Lucky I was able to make it at all last night! If it were not for the fact that Mr Triple checked my tyre pressure and found my front tyre stem broken and took it off down to Independent tyres for a quick, friendly and FREE fix! Shameless plug for that business... will certainly get our repeat business with service like that!
Cheers all, hope to see you next week

Strange you should mention a Scooter.

We were talking about them at work today.
I would like to do a trip right around the South Island on a scooter, with a few mates, with minimal luggage and gear.
Keeping it real easy and simple.

I know of a two guys that did it with just a sleeping bag, wet weather gear and a full wallet of money.
They did melt one scooter and just traded it for another and had a ball.
Every other time they did a big trip they got a few tickets for speeding etc.
So they thought on scooters they could not get a ticket so could spend the money on accommodation, food cloths and anything thing else they needed.
Feel the fear and do it anyway
