i need a new back tyre on my bike, so i telephoned my favorite bike shop to ask it they had a michelin pilot road 2. they didn't, so i asked if they could get one in for me, "sure no problem" he said "ill order it now and it should get here tomorrow." sweet!!!
10 minutes later he calls back and says there suppliers don't have any and it will be around the end of the month before they can get one in
Sooo, the question i ask of you all now is, Where might i find a new michelin pilot road 2? and has anyone got a clue as to how much i would expect to pay for one in the size of 170/60 ZR17?????

i just got one from AFC - but i have a normal bike with normal sized tyres, and therein lies your problem, it's just not a common size
try a different tyre maybe?
edit: mine was $365 fitted - so maybe $310-330 for the smaller size?

Yep, AFC normally have good stocks of PR2's at good prices. Try Cycletreads in Auckland, they have a huge variety and very reasonable prices. www.cycletreads.co.nz

Try trade me mate, sometimes dealers put odd sizes tyres on to move them. Also cycletrends in AKL have a biggish range of PR2 too.
