I went in there with a friend on Saturday. Yes, it was hot. We only went as far as the top dam. There were some quads playing in the dust above the dam - how much further can you ride?

Haha, I remember that even if my bike didn't get that far!
All fixed now, thanks to Freedom Suzuki in Palmy.
A new casting for the footpeg bracket would have been $175. They had one sitting round the workshop for less than a third.
Anyway the photos (couldn't get it to work from Picasa).

Nothing wrong with riding over the dam, there was no sign saying you couldn't do it.
And the pic of the stuck KLR is going to my friend in OZ with the same model, with an appropriate comment.
