Has yours gone bang and you cant race on the 27th/28th? If so I may be able to help you out and lend you a spare motor for the day....

You would be best advised too fix the one youve got Sue,Ive just done one for one of my bikes and the parts were around the $500.00 mark,That was for a pistonkit,And rod kit plus mains and seals,If you need it put together,Get it too me at the National points round and Ill get it done for you before rd1 of the Actrix series. If you do it properly then atleast youll know it will be good to go for a reasonable period,Whereas a second hand one may last a year or 10 mins,They have a few little problem areas that are easily sorted out if they are dealt with properly,Buying secondhand is a huge gamble with these

    Hi there Billy,
Its actually the gear box thats stuffed and we have had a quote from a bike shop down our way that it is going to cost us $2500 just for the gear box parts alone. How the hell could gear box parts for a RG 150 cost that bloody much. They must be made out of gold. Buying a complete motor would have to be cheaper than that?. Any help we can get of getting this bike up and running would be Greatly appreciated.

That would be Bloody Awesome Billy. I will get the motor to you via a friend of mine who will be working up there at the Nationals who can take it up with him to give you. The motor is apart at the moment. Russell saids that his Hyosung mould must come 1st and my answer to that is Dream On Russell it will never happen.

He's right Sue. Much cheaper to fix it. I know for a fact that it cost me about $850 to replace all the bearings in my gear box plus new a piston kit (including rings) and gasket set. Much cheaper than an engine an dthe bike will go surprisingly well afterwards.

You got that right Max as it was bad enough stuffing up the gear box on the RG which Im still getting over, without doing a similar thing to the Ninja and what would I have to ride on the road if I turned the Ninja into a Road Racing Machine. Far too much money under my arse for just getting back into road Racing after 20+ yrs away from it.
