When you have your licence back we would be happy to have you.
I'll let you kbnow when there is a fast ride comming up . If you are able to keep up with Lou ana Alan the the drinks would be on me. The ride you are slinging off about was a very large ride with riders of all ability.

Nothing wrong with being safe in a group ride environment ( their groups are generally 15 + riders )

I know most of the riding commitee & they do tend to cater well for all levels of rider ability, after having down a few runs you start to see which run leaders offer rides that are of interest to you & best suit your own riding level

To be far, there are some old fellas in there that really know how to ride & could easily run circles around some KB members I have ridden with, but at the end of the day YOU have the ability to either turn up for the ride & enjoy it for what it is OR stay at home with your hand down your pants OR do your own thing.... its that simple fellas !!!
I have invited Smoky to come and test his abilites against Lou Brown . If he can keep up the drinks are on me.

I must apologise for not coming to the pub last night. We were a little busy...having a baby I said to Brooke I would just pop out to have a drink but she wouldn't have a bar of it. A bit selfish really. It was all about her.

Both mum and bubs are doing good, although Dad got home at 1am so is running a little lean. Should be interesting since I have to pay the staff today and also train someone up to do it.

I suppose 6 hours will be plenty of sleep for the next several months.

All I need is the bike to turn up now.
Congratulations life will never be the same again

This intersts me. I'm not saying it didn't happen. It's just that I have no recollection. Date time and place please.

I'm very disappointed in you Jim, I never thought you'd be the type to irresponsibly encourage that kind of competition on the road

I don't consider myself a fast rider (just a quicker rider than yourself and few others who like to lax out a bit) nor is the dinosuarous bandit I ride up to ripping around like a lunatic ?? A number of the riders who meet at the pub with you on Wednesday would confirm their ability to leave me behind. And I don't think you should equate a fast riding as a good rider either.

But yeah - let me know when there's a quicker ride, I would be interested in meeting other riders, especially riders who like to ride a bit quicker

One thing i have learnt in life Jim - there is always someone faster than you, it's not a race Jim

Can't recall dates, but we were on our way home from fishing in the Hauraki, came across you and another bike on the Tahuna - Gordington Road
You and your mate were doing a respectable 90-100, we were probably being totally irresponsible - I think we got up to 115 at one stage
And I wonder why I lost my licence

It certainly was last night out around some twisty backroads. The Ulysillys evening ride ran about 120-130 km's. I was TEC . My excuse is that I was following a huge Zook cruiser.

I think there is almost a sniff of hypocrisy about this post. Not certain just smells like it.

We are going to run a poker run around about ANZAC weekend. The run will be in support of St John's. Cost about $15.00 $10 of a st John's badge and $5.00 for the pot plus a few spot prizes.
Poker cars are collected at various locations. Riders make their own way. Everyone rides "their own ride" Thought it may interest you.

Tahuna - Gordonton Road? Not sure which road you mean. Didn't think there was a Tahuna -Gordonton Road. Also there are at least 2 other Silver ST's in and around the Tron. Do you remember what the other bike was or what colour Helment and jacket the ST rider was wearing?
If it wasn't me there is a good chance I will know who it was.

I haven't done a poker run before - sounds interesting

    Hey, congrats bro!

Now, the thing is, you need to get your priorities right ... like us older codgers, cancel the bike and forget about freedom and self-indulgence for the next 20 years, like sad bastards like me did. Then you're kids will be grown up and you can get back to having fun and spending money on yourself again!

well done ckai & brooke i know what it is like, but now you will have sleepless nights shity nappies, warming the milk unless its coming naturally and forget getting out on the bike ckai your life as you knew it is now officially over. children wear you down from your health to your wallet but you will enjoy most part of it and there will be times when you wonder why why why you chose to go down this path.

just a little baby humour there seriously though hope the baby and brooke are well, what was your hoice of name.

My two little ones (4 & 6) are the best thing that has happened in my life, yes it does restrict your life style a lot, but well worth it
Just remember in the middle of all the chaos that often ensues - take some time to enjoy them - they don't stay babies for long

    Thumbs up

Thanks everyone. Both Brooke and bubs are doing well. He seems to enjoy his roomy beds which I hope doesn't mean I have to buy the little bugger a double bed just for him to sleep. He seems to be quite a chilled out dude but it's only been a day so we're waiting for the shock to kick in for him!

Name is Lachlan too but I would say he's very rarely gonna be called that (asshole, little shit and a few other ones I'm picking ).

Life will change for us but it won't be to an extreme. Both Brooke and I are gonna use our bikes as a break time while the other looks after him. And it's also why the grandparents live next door See, we're not stupid.

Smoky, good advice about enjoying them while they're babies. The folks were telling me they reckon as parents you rush around too much.

Of course we'll see how it all turns out. And he certainly won't be a stay home kid. We've already got a road-trip booked next month to Invergiggles for 2 weeks... in a '69 Mustang, so he can appreciate v8 rumble early. THAT should be interesting.
