Yep the arguments always rage - Agostini, Hailwood, Rossi - who? So hard to compare different era, different bikes. Rossi doesn't do Daytona or Isle of Man, but he did do Suzuka.

There is no doubt his record is fantastic.
    Cheers

Yep. The one thing I've never argued about is his results and stats. Be pretty hard to. He's not the fastest racer I've ever watched...but he's the most rounded. Fucking lucky too.

Yep a bit like Ago in that respect a long career with few injuries of note which probably does have quite a bit to do with their natural talent. Riding style of both is one that doesn't look as fast as they are. Mainly smooth and in control.

Can't agree with that bit Merv. Rossi's had some HUGE get offs but never really hurt himself. That's LUCK.

I'd dare say he most definitely is one of the best ever - so far.

The best? I don't know - that comes down to subjective preference as well I'd say.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Hm, yea, clearly no one who has replied to this thread has lived any length of time on "Continental Europe"...... they are pretty much all turd pushers, and appartently "that's not gay",

    yea, sure.

He may well "go that way", but at the same time, have a girlfriend.....like about 95% of the men in central Europe.

    Not me of course.

Who cares whether he's gay or not.... The only effect is that if he took a man to some publicised party we would be able to comment on his tits, i don't think i am going to loose any sleep over that.... Go buy a womans day

The best rider ever? the fact that the question even appears means he's pretty damn good!

I don't understand it,no one accuses stoner of being gay,and he's australian. No one accuses Kiwi racers of being beastialists. No one accuses The All Blacks of being gay and they are rugby players, and it's part of the training.
