    Only two bikes I lusted after, GSXR1100L in black, and Emma (5'11', brunette, green eyes, olive complexion, etc). Pretty much even those two. Managed the GSXR, but never managed to get a leg over Emma!

    It was heavier than the older slabbies thats for sure. Lots of power, but suspect handling, which I largely traced to the steering dampener position.

    Wanted an 89 Ducati 750 Sport.Got one and what a complete and utter heap of shit it turned out to be.The 90 900 SS was no better.

    I had a GPZ750 but wanted a CBX750 Bol'Dor (or anything that didnt head shake when you let go of the handle bars)

    Would have setteld for a Honda CBX 6 cyl just for the look. The Cycle article "In search of the 11 second CBX"* said one of the prototypes had a set of exhausts that made it sound like a Phantom jet. I would have wanted those pipes, too.



    *WTF??!! I can remember the title of a mag article from two decades ago, but I can't recall the name of someone I met half an hour ago.

    All things considered you couldnt buy a Ducati either,least not a real one.Cagiva have a lot to answer for.The 851 was about but what young fella however committed could afford one.
