Absolutely stunning weekend, great venue, beers and guitars Saturday night. If you didn't come down make a point of it next year and bring a tent.
Yeah, a great weekend with great racing, great people and a damn good weekend all round, oh I've already said that.
The only thing missing was everyone who should have made it.
Life is a lesson-if I bother to listen
Photos please lads
It's not what you ride but how you ride it!!
I'll put up some vids of the racing but it'll take a day or two.

What an awesome weekend.
I learnt so much in those two days racing, the B grade was very competitive with a lot of similar paced riders.
The practice sessions on the Saturday morning proved what I thought when we walked the track in the morning, it was very tight and there would be few places available to pass.
I had never finished in the top three in a any race before, so to win the first race on the Saturday was an absolute buzz![]()
The second Saturday race was a slap of reality, with the lead rider crashing on turn three and me target fixating on the rider coming second as he went straight off the track. I was in third and could of made the corner but also went off the track, rejoining in last place.
Sunday arrived with even better weather than Saturday. There were a few sore heads around the pits from the night before, but everyone was ready for another good day on the track.
A couple of practice sessions in the morning. In the second one I got to follow Str8Jacket for a few laps, when the white flag came out I decided to have a shot a passing. I went into the second part of the right hander after pit straight faster than I had been and chickened outriding straight off the track but managing to stay upright on the grass.
The North Island series races then started, it was now down to business.
Race 1 and I managed to hold third place.
Race 2 and I got swamped at the start (need to work on my starting) and finished sixth.
Race 3 and another bad start, finishing fifth, but I did manage a nice passing move near the end of the race on a similar paced FXR
A huge thanks to those that organised and ran the two days, plus those that marshalled.
All up the best fun I have had bucket racing so far. I can't wait for Easter.
All of what they ^ said!! Fantastic weekend, great weather, cool track, friendly folks and a well run meet, thanks guys and girls who ran it and flagged etc, you guys rock!!
I fulfilled my goals...... (I have fairly low expectations) race at Taumarunui, don't crash, come home will bike still working....... all achieved
Hope to see you all (and some more) at Kaitoke over Easter!!
Big congrats, Nigel !!!!!!!!
You make me want to still do buckets![]()
"...you meet the weirdest people riding a Guzzi !!..."
Congrats Nigel. Real happy for you. Knew you'd love the track. Yes it is hard to pass, but it is a great track to do laps on & to get your head around the sweeper takes a long time, maybe a few visits.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
What an awesome weekend, I had a blast. Love that first corner!!
Pipped for 3rd in just about every race though!I am aiming to beat #4 at Kaitoke this time!
