I'll be in Christchurch at about mid- day on Friday. Will scope out the starting point at some stage on Frioday evening.
Have't yet worked out which rout I am doing on Saturday morning. The final choice will be determined by the weather forecast on Friday evening. It this stage I am leaning towards thw western route on Saturday returning by the eastern route on Sunday. My goal is Bronze acheiver. I have pretty much worked out which flyers I will do to acheive that goal with the least effort.

The long range forecast is for rain in the Westport - Karamea area saturday afternoon, so I'm leaning towards the eastern route on Saturday and the western on Sunday (and put up with all those cagers returning from the W&F festival)
    Time to ride

Plenty of petrol stations, but maybe not as close as that. Particularly on sunday evening. If you stick to the main route you should be OK, but some of the flyers may test your fuel range a bit.

Badged and T-shirted - Total elapsed riding time: 26 hrs. Time for a beer. Great days, both days, if a little cold on Saturday morning. Great crowd and organisation.
