Well with my dear ol'mum just out of hospital, I won't be able to make this ride either! Remember, anyone can do it!

Well done jasonzc! That is the way it should be, bikers just going for a ride ... with or without others! I'm out of action for a long while, have to help out in the family takeaways after I finish teaching! The only biking I have been able to do is in my local environs

And oh yeah, I did weeks and weeks of the Hornet Swarm rides with only me, myself and I!

    I've subscribed to this thread .. Now that I own a nine - one - niner !
Got a great buy .. never quite imagined I'd have a 05 Hornet in my garage.
    She's done a few k's. Did I say a f e w !! We're going for the record here.
Its all been hot running so the motor is premo .. small problem/but ... Its chewed out the spline on the countershaft. (output > sprocket).
So have secured a whole gearbox internals on eBay and will give me something to do when it turns up.

And if u want to know the answer is 200 big ones..........

Go on... challenge us... I know of a few hornets with decent km. Mine and 2 others I think are sitting in the 70's, and a courier has his in the 180's, no major engine work yet. These bikes are ridiculously reliable!

    How many Kms ?

    81 000km...and counting here.

George from Motorcycle doctors' words were: "If I didnt know that this bike has done 80 000km I'd say that this engine has just come out of the factory"

200 thousand !!! (well almost) . .and the engine sounds sweet .. bit of rattle from the gear box which has probably already been diagnosed as a sloppy front sprocket ... it is pretty tidy too I might add

Now that is just pure awesomeness! And people think we horneteers are rabid, oddlings with our ferbile rants and raves about our fave choice of ride! My lil'ol'hornet has gone around the clock and starting his 2nd run around it ... my Big Ol'Hornet is a bit put out at the moment since I am giving my lil'ol'hornet the love!

When I had the Big Ol'Hornet go for it's mandatory service to inspect the clearances etc, usual story from the mechanic "waste of time really, since I already know what it will look like. Perfect." and funnily enough, it was so.

Welcome to the new horneteer and hope you have a good buzz going on!

So, just a general feel out there - Anyone interested in a Cherry Red 2007 Hornet 900 with all the best extras you could ever need, and then some? Pristine condition, no scratches, no nothing, just pure beautiful red paint and only at 18,000km.

Yep, the bikewhore in me rears its ugly head once again !

It tis my middling ol' Hornet alone that is called by the name Cherry. Your's may go by the name Bright Red or Blood Red.
Or it may be guns at dawn

Ahh the Pumpkinator rears his head again and spits pumpkin seeds around! So, giving the ol'Hornet the spanish archer huh? (The big elbow).

Must be another Kawazaki in the pipeline, being a kawa fanboi and all!

And I'll be missing much of the Monday rides due to me going back to the bad ol'days of working nearly 24/7 again (dear mama and papa need much help in the family takeaway again )
