Agree with ya Brett, they wont offer a great deal of protection in a slide situation or much else for that matter, but they are warmer than jeans lol been wearin them now for a few months over summer (without armour, as with forward controls they sit over the shins) but it might be time to go back to my leathers as i'm startin to feel the cold through em ! Even if ppl recon i do look silly with race leathers on a Harley !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Race leathers on a Harley with forward controls - yep looks like a try hard combination.
I have a pair of leather jean style pants with 2 layers over knee and shin area, zip at back of calf so they fit neat over boots. Made by Jet Leathers in Hastings. Far better protection and warmth than the material in Draggin or copies. Pic added.

Kevlar jeans are about as effective as trackpants

[QUOTE=KNCTRD;1129717988]Just wanting to know if anyone out there is using these pants? They are a shitload cheaper than Draggin, and are NZ made by the looks.

yeh mate have a pair. not sure if they are rhino got them from lifestyle imports at cemetary circuit this year. best to get a size bigger then u would normally get coz the old fullaz can get pretty iritated with the middle seam (i hav a firestorm). I ended up sewing stretch material thru the crutch and bhind knees. awesum 4 summer riding. havn't got to winter yet

Quasievil is right they offer no protection in an off situation.
For hauling em on going to the shop and doing the groceries they're bloody fantastic.Put em on leave em on all day.
Have had mine modified to make knee armour sit in then right place and shortened up, short arse ya see.
I've also had a pair of Leather Trou modified and now that they fit I am definitely going to be using them.
THANKS QUASIEVEIL yer a legend and a damn fine human bean!

Saw the jeans at Manfeild a few times, look bloody fine jeans for the price, armour is supplied and can be removed if jeans used as jeans, and if doing short ride put armour in.I am looking to grab a pair next summer for that purpose,i.e cruising into town, short rides(say 10km) but if riding further would use leather or cordura.

As the draggin site said they last longer before abrassion hits, but that depends on road surface they tested on vs opposition for their comparison, and it's all very well showing a guy dragged behind a bike as per the add,but how often do you get dragged along the road, pretty sure when you fall off you HIT the road(which creates the injury)sure they may well prevent abrassion for a few seconds as you tumble along the road.

If you do want denium and you want armour can I encourage you to buy a pair of these, they are the KNOX cross lite knee guards, link is here
    http://www.qmoto.co.nz/products/knox...knee-protector

These are the correct armour solution for your knees in Jeans and the only armour you can guarantee will stay in the right spot in a crash.

Armour in Jeans as part of the jean construction is hopeless as the jeans will ride up twist etc and put the armour in the wrong spot when you need it.
$149 is not alot for this important joint
Ive run out of fucks to give

If you wear these then why bother with Draggin, Rhino or other expensive jeans with Kevlar? For the limited additional protection they provide why not wear normal jeans and save money?

The Denium is usually thicker and the outside seams are usually double stitched, so a bit better than normal jeans some of which are paper thin

i think im going to go for the Draggins for A to B. I am in Hamilton often, so i might come and check out some decent armoured leather pants for rides that go from A to D or futher.

Do you have a shop Quasi?
