I did send a message to SKY telling them thanks for the qualifying coverage. It doesn't hurt to encourage them...

Sometimes qualifying can get really interesting in the closing stages, especially if one of the top riders has an oops and is running out of time to get his hot lap in.
Like Rossi in Phillip Island in 2008. Having crashed on what would have been his hot lap he only barely had time to ride around the track to get to the start and then complete one lap. No communing with the bike through the foot peg, no tugging leather out of his bum, he went out of the pits as if he'd been fired out of a gun. The commentary was covering it and it was real nail biting stuff.

One day it'll be like Formula 1 and we'll see all the practices too...

Wasn't it Rossi, Pedrosa, Stoner last year? Horhay had an off near the end and Randy the Punyone was fourth (?) and I think Melandri did an ok job too...

yeah, maybe if we said thanks a few more times rather then just moaning or whatever when it doesn't happen.....I think getting both the superbikes and the MotoGP is worth the price of sky...........my only little grizle is trying to find the racing sometimes....it gets moved around channels...

Yeah, you're right Pritch. So I got off my arse (well figuratively speaking) and sent them the message below.

But it is great to see the qualifying unfold and that has added a new dimension.

    Hey, I am VERY impressed.

There was a time when SKY were hesitating to buy and show motorcycle sport and I was seriously contemplating cancelling my SKY subscription.

Now - we have not only great coverage of races - but there is now the bonus of MotoGP qualifying. It has been soooo good that I have installed MySKY

    Thank you.

Not yet, but there is talk of this happening hopefully later in the season. There's quite an investment to make to record/broadcast in HD I believe - but very well worth it for the punters (well those with MySky, which isn't me - yet!)

Does anyone know whether they will run the Japan Round that was suppose to be run last weekend but was called off due to the Volcano Eruption at the end of the Season?.

I know I want to, it's just a matter of convincing myself that I want to outlay the extra dosh just for HD (already have a HDD recorder).

    Help. Was it just me????

Switched on TV to enjoy the luxury of watching the Jerez qualifying - and I get the message on MySKY 'FAILED'!
