What are ya nuts!!!??? I don't use all the tyre in the dry let alone wet. "I have a thing for channels to the edge"...meaning it's physiological.

It's the same as when I have to put 2 pairs of undies on in the mourning or when I have to tie, untie then retie my left shoe an 10:23am every day. It's just a thing.

Sorry. I thought there was a RATIONAL reason.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

I want some, but seeing what I could get them for from o'seas makes me kinda spew. Still, if you want them you'll pay for them, and I suppose I will.

haha there's never a rational reason for what I do/think.

But you do raise an interesting point. How many people would use the channels at the edge of any tyre in the wet? They say you can lean only a fraction less in the wet than if it was dry (different discussion) but how many people do? And is it better to get a tyre like the Pure which, having the 'slick' edges, be better for dry weather riding when you're, let's be honest, gonna be going for it?

Maybe I should have a talk with my other personalities and discuss what I really need.

So what are the price of the Pures compared with the 2CT's?

That depends largely on how long it's been since any rain... and the type of surface... wet concrete is very different to wet tar snake riddled road...

A bit dearer than the 2ct but not much. It'll be interesting to see what mileage people end up getting out of them.

I might pick up a Pure front and run it with the rear Pirelli Rosso I've got sitting in the garage. One day I might actually fit a set of tyres.

Whaaaat? that's very reasonable where the hell did you get them? Or are you like a "mate of a mate" of mine who works for forbes and davies? (hence I wo'nt be getting any cheap tyres.....)

Keep meaning to ask, do the P Pure's ride ok? Been a common observation 'round these parts the Michelin Pilot Power/Road 2's are quite a hard riding tyres, they seem to have a quite a stiff carcass but I have'nt laid eyes on the tires I ordered yet so I have'nt been able to compare them.

In the states you can get a set from about US$240. Mine would be just over that, about $280. That's advertised prices on websites with stock.
