Yeah, apparently they do a pretty good job too, real good attention to detail. It's just the having to find a replacement rim or not being able to ride for 4 weeks that's a bitch...

Yeah, that's looking like it might be an option. It's going to take a back seat for a while though, I've got some other things that need work after the ART day...

Brilliant. Had a great time outbraking bigger bikes and the VFR was carving everyone up. Managed to make easy work of a hayabusa, a ducati 1098, gsxr1000 and a pretty interesting selection of other big bikes.

Somewhere during my first decent fang something broke though and the bike was running on 3 cylinders for the rest of the day. Haven't figured out what caused it, but I'll be taking a look at it tomorrow, hopefully.

Lifting the rear wheel under braking going into the hairpin and giving the pegs a bit of a grinding were some of the highlights of the day, too.

Edit: There was a guy on a BMW F650GS that was flying around too, was pretty impressed...

yep - last time i checked they can't powdercoat metallics

to be fair though, the prep work was an absolute mission and i should have let it cure for a week before putting the rubber back on
