    Stab in the dark

On the Stabbing issue (student V teacher in Te Puke)
Two English females on the radio yesterday saying they had come to NZ to get away form this kind of shit in England, they couldn't cope with the children being exposed to system that portects the attaker in situations like this.

I dont beleive this was just a random attack on a School Teacher.
Maybe the Student has a 'gang' connections (it is Red County down that way) but I feel there is more to this attack than what some are terming a 'Gang Initiation'.

The last time something like this happened, it turned out that the Teacher was always in the kids face with racial comments (student was Asian)
Not saying that this is the case in the lastest stabbing, and no teacher deserves to be stabbed/harmed or otherwise but, if a student is a tad unstable and is tormented enough, it is possible that something like this could happen happen.
Maybe the other students in the class would have a better idea on whay it happened?

I got roughed up by a Teacher at High School in the 70's.
He denied it (it was only him and me in the corridoor at the time) but it happened.
It all started because I said hello to him upon entering the classroom.

Having the words 'Mr Mathews is a Wanker' written in my excerise book didnt help the situation, granted.

    From the 2 minute mark...

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Teachers are an easy mark these days because they can't defend themselves... that and a class full of kids saying the teacher started it isn't exactly going to help a teachers cause, irrespective of who was to "blame" to begin with... I fear we will see more and more of this over the next few years... indeed I moved from the UK to get away from that kind of shit too... perhaps i'm just a shit magnet
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

The teachers can't do a thing, not even shout as that's considered 'abuse' now, and the students know it.

We now have an entire generation who are going through the schooling system and all they know are 'My rights' and 'My entitlements'

    The MY generation....

If anyone physically attacks you, you are legally entitled to defend yourself, without using excessive force.

That right has not been removed for teachers afaik.

This is true, but I was thinking more in regards of punishing the little cunts before they even dream of doing such a thing.

    Really sucks eh.

My father is (was) a teacher, is 65, and has been attacked twice in the last 2 years. Both times he was knocked to the ground and hurt enough to not be working for a while. The repercussions for the perpertrator in both instances (different students both times (in the same group of kids)) has been a 2 day suspension the first one, and a 5 day suspension the second one. Repercussions for my father however have been somewhat harsher, he depended on this work to survive, as a relieving teacher he was simply not invited back as a reliever (good I say, but he feels that the school is blaming him) he was offerred no apologies by the school, by the students or their parents. He did not defend himself (as he knows (and every teacher does) that if he had, its thanks very much - we'll discipline you). He asked the school to involve the police after the first time and was told that that wasn't how it worked.

    Why be a teacher?
Has it ever bothered you that Therapist is The Rapist if you break the word in two? It bothers me, especially when they suggest hypnosis.

Is it ok to blame the police for that too? By my reckoning they should have batoned the bitch much harder during her protest years

That makes me sick to read. Regardless of what he was told that IS how it works. Assault is illegal in New Zealand and those who do it should be prosecuted. Your father should go after the school and the perpetrators to the hilt.
