    Woffable?

So I had a wee off on gravel, long story short I have scratches on the right hand side of the engine, (oil tank) and a bent brake lever, I know I'll need a new brake lever cos it's bent back on itself completely and the brake light doesn't come on until it's pushed down hard, (don't worry though, my foot took all the weight so the ground didn't get hurt! )

there's no oil leaking from the scratches at all they're just cosmetic and there's no other damage to the bike, will the scratches make me fail a WOF? Also looking to go to Meremere at one point to give it a go so it would have to pass their inspection as well.

I'll post up some pics if when I can, but opinions would be appreciated

EDIT: here's a link to a pic of a different bike with almost identical scratching on it, mine are a bit worse. My scratches are on the other side too btw

Nah.. I have scratches on my bike but it still passes every time...

Anything that stops your bike from being ridden or stopping would make you fail.. But scratches?? Nahh
The only stupid question is a question not asked!

    No. 10 chars.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

Just look at one of your old WOF sheets and see if it could fail under any of the sections.

Cool, I was getting a bit worried cos I dodn't want to have to fork out for an engine cover.

Fucked brake lever on the other hand I don't mind so much cos it's got to be done!
Well it's not so much fucked as looks bad, it still works completely fine, and I like it cos it's uicker to bring my foot onto it, but the light "switch" I guess you could call it, I want to get that fixed

Dont make the mistake of thinking a wof checksheet is all a bike (or car ) has to meet. There is a huge amount of finer detailed aspects that are also inspected and come under specific catagories.

As for those scratches , looking scabby is never going to be a wof issue, its a safety inspection not a pretty bike show, your sweet.
