    Kawasaki Ninja needs water-pump

    Hey
I found a guy up here that is wanting to sell his Ninja ,but it needs a water-pump, the fork number was ZX400K. Anybody familiar with these guys? And if the pump went out and possibly overheated should I not even bother with it? The Cylinders are free, and he says its good.

    Thanks for your help

The island way is usually to ride it until it won't go any further. Check for coloring, if it's whitish it might be ok, but if there's any darkening I wouldn't touch it, if you know what I mean.

edit: I'm pretty sure you could persuade a dealer here to ship to you. I bet it would be cheaper on ebay though.

edit2: er its an inline four - I'd be bloody careful buying that.

I feel stupid asking this but the coloring you mentioned, where should I be looking to see it?
    Where the water-pump sits?

    Doesn't it.

I spent a week in Vanuatu and skipped all the touristy stuff and went on a mission to find out what made the place tick. Fucking interesting it was.. one of the things I noticed was, anything with an engine and wheels was roundly abused until it stopped working, and then it was driven further until it went up in flames, and then dropped on the ground and left there. The locals took great mirth in its' use, and even more in its' demise. There must have been a fucking big hole of steel somewhere, but I never saw it.
