    Legal advice for marketing?

    Hoping some one can awnser this deffinately??

    I am havinng a WEB site built at the moment, and want to use a photo of ME riding the Britten on the main page

    Can anyone wee any legal reasons why I could not use this photo?

    The bike cearly has MY NAME on it! so I am marketing my name, NOT the BRITTEN NAME/

    As long as whoever took the photo allows you to use it (it's their copyright) I don't see a problem.

    The photo is the property of whoever took it. If they give you permission, then you're good to go.

    Yup, as the others have said if you own the photograph or have permission from the owner you're sweet. Just because the Britten is in it doesn't mean they can stop from using it, unless they own the photo.

    I had my photo taken outside Mc Donalds - their logo was clearly visible in the background - I didnt need to have their permission to use it on my website.

    Same story.

    Unless the photographer was commissioned to take the photo.

    Then the copyright most likely belongs to the person who commissioned the work.
