I generally find its easier to rent them.
Back when Mark and I first met, it was something really "out there" to meet someone from an internet site and make a relationship of it, I remember an article in one of the womans mags about some couple that actually got married after an internet meeting
I read it is 9 years we have been together, now that is not a bad effort for a couple of internet losers as my ex referred to us as![]()
I have met some really lovely people after an initial internet contact. Some of these I count among my closest friends.
I don't even know while I'm reading this thread - I'm married!
I was going to warn you about the perils of internet dating - people proclaiming to be other than they are or you getting a false idea of what they are/look like.
For example I bet most of you think I have a 12 inch dick - when really it's only 9 inches. Such is the internet.
Sorry if I disappointed anyone.
Met my hubby on some dating site, cant remember which one it was now. After he died, I logged in again and met the lovely man I am seeing now.
there are some truly neat guys out there, but by crikey there are some bloody dropkicks.
Easy to pick them, only takes half a coffee. Got to use the brain to filter them.

That sums up the online dating thing pretty good. Internet dating is a brilliant way to crunch the numbers when it comes to finding a root or a mate. Just go in with your eyes wide open and with honesty. And beware of what the prospective partner's profile *doesn't* say (e.g. no weight = probable whale)
I used Findsomeone to meet a few similarly available singles after a marriage meltdown (if it had been that easy to score when I was in my teens I would have worn out the old fella !) and after getting that out of my system met a very special lady literally on the other side of the world via the same website.
6 years later, now settled back in NZ and still very happy with the result![]()
Shudder!
Just imagine it - months and months of discussion with your partner, finally you both agree to some rules or something and head off to your first party. You're feeling fine - hey some of these people are actually attractive. Then you notice your partner being chatted up by Skidmark!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
**shudder**

Oh Oh one of my friends keeps getting hit on by dudes on NZ dating.
I give him shit and tell him he must be asking for it, but seriously he is about as straight as they come, its pretty random!!!
It happens. I had a few ladies test the waters. Take it as a compliment that someone finds me attractive. Explain that they are not my flavour and leave it at that. No harm.

when I was on NZDating, I didn't say much about me as far as looks/weight go and didn't even have a photo of me on my profile. Any guy that suggested I might be fat or ugly, is not the type of person I would want to be with anyway.
I basically said that I have full sleeve tattoos and a full back tattoo - if you don't like tattoos, then you won't like me.
I had so many guys intrigued because I had no picture - my husband talked to me for about a week before I sent him a picture - he was very happy with what he saw.
I knew what he looked like and I thought he looked scary, but he seemed to be on the same wave length as me.
