Oh dear - what is the world coming to?

I once got sent home by my boss for the week for being "far too happy". Not kidding and he was dead serious. I then got a verbal warning that I would be dismissed for not drinking with the boys after hours (I was a non drinker - let alone the fact that they were all assholes who I didn't want to socialise with after hours).

I know what you mean, one of my old employers got quite upset when people showed up to work under the influence of E or speed. I still can't figure out why to this very day.

Hahaha there is just so little tollerence these days huh? Did they not see that it made you so much faster at work and you got through things at pace??

I have a mate that worked as Service Manager for the local main BMW agent, while I run an independent BMW specialists not far away.
A client came in one day & said she would never go back to the main agent again because the Service Manager was far too happy, we thought it was hilarious, what a great way to lose a client.

    I liked this bit:

Lorenzana said management told her that female co-workers were not similarly told what to wear because their "general unattractiveness rendered moot their sartorial choices."
