Anyhoo - getting back to the thread topic.
How about some more stories.
I was finding it very interesting.
A friend thought he had hit the jackpot when his date suggested meeting out on the water.
Her boat was fantastic.
He ruined his chances however by drinking too much, getting his kit off and then running around the decks making rude suggestions to the passing parade of fashionable people.
Date was not suitably impressed.

I have a mate who went to meet a flash lawyer (that he had met online, and spoken to on the phone!) on her arrival back from an important meeting in Wellington, at Auckland Airport - surprise her with flowers and night on the town. Turned out she was a housewife in Timaru that had made the whole thing up.
