R6 kids sig, I thought it was a great call.

These keyboard warriors are actually heroes as if they didn't add their sometimes interesting and reflective, sometimes amusing, sometimes raging waffle posts then I would not be here reading them and would probably be reading trademe talking myself into another bike I don't actually need, as I have 2 excellent ones already.

I find opinions (for the most part) on Kiwibiker/bitcher to be far more informed than some other websites. It's almost torture reading some of the uninformed shite posted on stuff.co.nz .

Thanks for the advice around one of my firewalls, however I have nothing sensitive on my home computer. I'm not that stupid!!! So have no need to have a heightened level of security. My real world data is protected by IBM and Intergraph.

Well it's all opinion - not as some members would have us believe as they attempt to apply force and convert their opinion into fact.

Rather arrogant of you to assume that a satellite will follow you around all the time.

    Hi Everyone,

Nick here, my good friend Abe kindly made me aware of this thread a little while ago and since then I have been debating with myself as to whether or not I should give a response or not. Part of that reason is I don’t actually think that it will have any merit for me as there appears to be a lot of you out there in “cyber land” that have made preconceived judgments about me from stemmed from the reporting of a single event that I might add can be construed as being extremely one sided and not entirely factual.

I have also been called numerous names and had my bike insulted because of the way in which I have decided to style” it at this stage, by people who have never met me nor know anything about me, this I find absolutely bemusing not to mention somewhat rude.

I don’t know if there is any merit in me explaining the events that transpired because the person that started this thread would probably just say otherwise, however I do feel the need to explain my actions because I feel I have been greatly misrepresented.

A crucial part of information that had been left out of this situation was the there was actually a van in front of me waiting to turn, the light turned to solid red and then the van proceeded to turn, I immediately followed the van through, as I did a woman stepped out onto the road, in all honesty she wasn’t as close as you all have been led to believe, at the same time I felt someone hit me, which caused me to wobble. I then parked up my bike, flipped up my visor so as I could be heard and asked this person as to why they had hit me, this person then actually shoved me twice, to which I did not retaliate to, a few words were spoken and after we finished beating our chests, we went our separate ways.

Obviously both parties will have their different interpretations of the said events, I do however ask all of you, if someone were to physically hit you while leaning out on a corner would you not also stop as to enquire why?

Anyway that is what happened, well from my perspective anyway, there was absolutely no malicious intent at all and I am sorry if I did anything wrong or frightened anyone.
Also I’ll be the first to admit that I am no angle on the road and I am sure many of you aren’t either, perhaps if I didn’t ride such a conspicuous bike with a P/Plate I wouldn’t get a lot of this attention. Do you think if I rode a scooter this would have gotten to this level?

As to my style of riding, I have a question of you all. . .everyday single day for the last 25 years I have been riding I see less than favourable antics on the road and let me tell you the majority of these riders are on scooters or low cc bikes, so let me ask you once again, if I was riding a scooter would this have expediently reached the level that it has? Or is it something to do with the fact I ride a stickered up 1 litre superbike?

One final thing, my bike is styled along the lines of a Moto GP bike, every single sticker on my bike is a brand I have used or currently use. That’s cool if you don’t like it, after all it’s about being an individual isn’t it. Furthermore a person’s ride is merely an extension of one’s personality so if you attack that, you attack them.

By the way, the ZX-10 is the best bike I have ever owned, (coming from a Fireblade, and previous to that a CBR 600, VTR and too many other bikes to list) and I love it greatly and I would be most upset if someone was to do something to it. So please don’t.
As to the pictures of me “overtaking” I remember this incident, a fella leaning out of his car with his camera, the road actually branches out into two separate lanes, I had indicated to move into the left lane and did, so no overtaking there my friend.

So guys & girls, lets all kiss and make up and DaveF, I would like to personally invite you to meet up with me one day soon to bury the hatchet, perhaps go for a ride and a bite to eat, also come meet my friend Abe, he’s a top fella too, just like me.

    Ride safely everyone.
    Peace out everyone, Nick.
