Also - finished with ya sockets and read the 'zine cover to cover and back again, so will have to return them sometime soon.
Your a good mate Rusty Ringbolts - a very kind offer.
However, got the man machine back in order, for now anyway.

I think it runs a bit too rich - can be a fucker to start when cold and the plugs are getting fuel fouled easily.
I've whipped them out and given them a bit of a rub so we'll hope for the best.

Quite excited about the growing group of riders for tomorrow - awesome!

Didn't realise you cant get from Kaiaua to Bombay without going along SH2.
So when we appeared on SH2 at Mangatawhiri we opted to turn towards Mercer, where we gassed up and headed onto SH22.
    Great outing

Awesome day here in Cairns. Hired a trumpy speedmaster & did a 250 km loop - Cairns - Kurunda- Mareeba- Mossman Gorge- Port Douglas- Capt Cook Highway (down the coast to cairns).
As we got into the first set of lovelies - 1st corner 40km LH'er , I figured that she'd get around that, at about 80 k's - WRONG - side stand, pegs & feet all scraped & a slap from the pillion & some mutterings about it being a cruiser & not the VTR, had me easin up a lil bit. What a wicked piece of twisties non the less. Kangaroo warning signs & unfenced stock signs makes one scan the landscape a lil more than normal too. A hop-bang, woudn't be a lotta fun. Lovely trip down the Capt Cook highway , but honestly it has nothing on the the coast road up from Thames. All n all a great day out on a not so nimble cruiser. Home 5.30 AM Wed Morn so may be at the pub Wed Night. Sounds like a good turnout today for the LOR's & some fine weather at last !!
If you don't know where you are going , any road will get you there ............

Our group was wondering what happened to that bigger one. We took a few random roads and they turned out to be bloody good.

We were trying to figure out where you had gone. It took a while for us to work out you more than likely went down SH1, it took me even longer to work out you had pointed that you were going down SH1 before we headed off. Obviously I can't count using my mirrors because I could have sworn you started riding with us. We got there in the end.

Pity I had to bail early - would have loved to do the full thing. Still, had an enjoyable trip back up the west side of the river with only one minor scare from a mufti that I passed just before the yellow lines went solid...he checked me with his little speed detecting device but fortunately I did slow down for the 50k zone at Te Kowhai...specially once the detector went off..

All good!! Last count was 23 bikes before we left. Apologies for leaving someone at the Thomas Rd BP but glad you made it to Kaiuia anyway. Really enjoyable ride and nice to see some new faces and some of the older LOR members turn up. Even though it was cold I really enjoyed the run and had sort of planned the route to try and avoid to much slippery and twisty areas as the frost/ice is a bit of a bastard this time of year. Even though we split in all different directions coming back hope you all enjoyed finding your way back and had company whichever way you went. I was one of the ones who got lost coming back, thought we were heading to the Bombays and ended up at Mercer?? Surprising that I came round one down hill corner on the mercer road and it still had an ice strip from where the overhang had been dripping all day and no sun to be seen. Just shows what it can be like this time of year.

Heres hoping we get another good sunny sunday sometime soon!!
