How old is that battery? Sounds like it's almost dead judging by how it cranks the starter.

Don't know how old it is actually. My last one was dead and cycletreads chucked this one in it when i replaced the tyres brake pads etc. I leave it on the battery tender so i have never had a problem. Although I was mucking around with the heated hand grips that day... Do you want to come view the bike?

That battery is fine, my 06 CBR sounds exactly same when cranking up...and always did.

I haven't listened to the video, but I can tell you that the 08- models always sound like they're flat due to the high geared starter. I'm pretty sure that was an 08 change, but perhaps not (08 might have just introduced an even higher geared one).
