Cheers Sue, it was great to get back out there. Im LOVIN the new bike. Going to take some tracktime to get back up to where I left off though....FAR OUT Ive lost the groove, but I figure that a slow and steady climb back up is the way to go, well.....that's my excuse anyway LOL.

Awesome to see so many new females out there now too! Hope you all have a safe and productive season.

    See yas on the track
    Vicki.

    Ladies Cup?

For a while there's been the thought that maybe we should have a special series just for the ladies. Kept to Streetstock, as that's where most of them are.
In the South Island we counted 26 lady road racers, 20 of them are in Streetstock
If we had a series for them, run within the South Island Nationals as part of the Streetstock class, would the north island riders come down for it?

Cool photos CAMSEC. The one of Elise on the t250 tells the story of what a tiny terror she is!
(And she IS an outstanding rider)

for any of you that want to give it a go... go for it!!!
track days are a great way to get into track riding... then you get the itch and do a race and the rest is history (well was for me anyway)

catch you all at the next round... and if your a chick looking to get into it.. come visit me at the old double with my little tweety outside... i'm happy to chat and get you excited!!
Taking it to the track thanks to: KIWIBIKE INSURANCE & PIRELLI TYRES, EXPERIENCE MOTORCYCLES, EBC Brakes, SUPERSPROX Sprockets, TSUBAKI Chains, RST Leathers, REPSOL Oils, FutureGrafix, Autolink

Thats is awesome to hear. Many of us wouldn't have a clue knowing where to start and its great to get advice along the way. I am booking in for a track day in November at Manfield and hope to have me second bike by then for it. Reckon it will be a day to remember thats for sure. It seems to be a hell of a bug without a cure, and that is never a bad thing!

I just think its awesome seeing the ladies who participate in this sport, and makes me want to push myself past my comfort zone and start to live it up a little. So very new to this wonderful world of motorcycling, and I just want you to know that a lot of gals like me look up to you awesome chicks that do this, and at the same time look so good doing it!

I just need to learn where the hell to start and i reckon i might just catch that same bug. So thanks to all of you for being an inspiration. Think you all ROCK to be honest!

It is awesome to see heaps chicks out there racing but although I am probably going to get flamed for this I am against a 'womans cup'. This is solely my opinion as I hate being singled out as 'a chick who races'. Part of what I love about racing is that the guy's just treat you the same as anybody else at the track. Personally I would just rather be another racer who happens to be female...

Come out to buckets at the Slipway sometime and scab a ride on something and have a ride in B grade...... it'll give you a starter and an idea of what close contact racing is like.

Did that one the second day I had it Ed. Lets just say thats ONE way to get used to scraping your pegs in a hurry. Wasn't enough to get ride on my silly grin though!

Just hoping for a little more ground clearance on a second bike so that I can really enjoy the corners without so much touch down.
