interesting, Id like to see how rossi does on a different bike. Should be some damn good racing the rest of this season though, even if the championship is looking pretty skewed.

I reckon it's a sure thing. He won't stay if Whorehey is there and Yamaha would be fools to give him the flick after winning the Championship.

The other thing is Rossi likes a challenge and developing the Duc so anyone can ride would be that.

    Just my 2 cents worth

Jerry Burges Said 3 weeks ago and I quote

That told me that the deal with DUCATI is already DONE!!!

Yep, as good as Rossi is I don't think Rossi would have been anywhere near as successful without Burgess. The man is a genius.

If anyone can make the Ducati work it'll be Rossi with Burgess!

I think it will be interesting how he goes if/when he does go.

STONER is the only person who has been able to get the best out of the Ducati. It seems to suit his "half outta control" riding style.

ROSSI is a "in control" type of rider. I think to myself I say self, would Ducati have to make wholesale changes to accomodate ROSSI?

There have been a number of exellent riders who have struggled on the bike MELANDRI etc.

It might actually help the class if he does move. To be honest how boring is it at the moment?

Remember when ROSSI went to Yamaha, it caused a stir and made that season fun to watch, in my opinion anyways.

Don't forget that it was also the screamer version of the Ducati that others had more difficulty with

Hayden also seams to be getting some speed out of the current Duke, so it can't be all that bad. Me thinks with Rossi in control he will be winning from day 1, then only improving from there

I think that is a very real possibility if BURGESS does go with him.

I got told that LORENZO was being offered more money than ROSSI at Yamaha?

This was probably the deal breaker...Would Burgess move again ?? Rossi wasn't going anywhere without him and previously Burgess had stated he wasn't going to move again...until recently..

Then there was always the challenge of winning the Champisonship on a third Manufacturer's bike

Think of the sheer financial clout he will bring to Ducati though. They will have a lot of money to throw at developing a new bike for him and if Burgess is there its bound to be a good one.......

I think Rossi has his eye on 2012 anyway when they go to 1000cc. Thats what he wants to win most (oh an pick up Agostini's GP record also)...To win world championships on 125, 250, 500, 990, 800 and 1000cc and on 3 makes of MotoGP bike.

I thought that Rossi was told he would have to take a pay cut but that doesn't mean Lorenzo would get more - I think there is a big difference in what they get now and that was just going to reduce - not reverse, but hey who knows what they actually get ?

I think the salary from Yamaha is only a portion of what Rossi earns.
Anyway I'd like to see him on a Ducati.
