What is there to do in Geraldine of a Friday evening?
Myself and the missus will be down there for the night this coming Friday on a business trip for me and I'm just wondering what the local attractions might be.
Are there any?

Neca eos omnes. Deus suos agnoscet
Are you on the bike or car?there is plenty of great roads round that area that are well worth the ride. A bike shop in the middle of no where between Fairlie and MacKenzie Country called High Country Motorcycles. The guy that owns it is real hospitable and well worth the stop for a look. It's just about 4 or 5 k's out of Fairlie form memory on the right hand side of the road.Big sign ya can't miss.
But yea there is tons of things in the local vicinity to check out. Bush walks up at Peel Forest if thats ya thing or visit Barkers winery maybe. Check the local info office. Enjoy!![]()
Trumpydom!
How long have you been married?
Barker aye??? Now that sounds interesting. I happen to have a cousin that is pretty high up the ladder there. Would be interested to know who you might be going to see there. PM me if you would.
Laugh me legs off if it was him. He also would be just the man to point you in a direction of site seeing value. What a very small world we live in!![]()

Geraldine on a Friday night????
The pub. Thats about it.................
The town is chocka block full of old retired people!!!
.....i saw a trout in the river there...it didnt look all that excited, but it added to the thrill of Geraldine...
There's a Subway ...... and on my way back to Christchurch at Easter I had some really good Fish 'n' Chips at a place just off the main road.
If you are there before closing there is a interesting Motor Museum - a few cars and a bike or two plus lots of interesting old farm trucks etc.
It's a really nice town, beautiful in Autumn and Spring but I don't think there will be a lot of night life.
If you get in trouble there the local cop is a good sort. Mike Stephens. Country policing at it's best.
