Fine and frosty at first apart from areas of morning fog.Cloudy periods and northerly winds developing later.

Sunday 1
Mainly fine at first, apart from areas of morning cloud or fog. Then cloud increasing and rain developing from afternoon.Northerlies freshening.

Not much interest in a ride for Sunday at this stage - I think the weather forecast has put some people off. Or maybe just want a sleep in after the AB's game against the Wallabies Sautrday night late!

Meh, I'm a bit disorganised this morning and got the brother in law calling in on his way through town.
I won't be free till this arvo - probly just go for a wee pootle around Waingaro...

Took the BMW F650GS for a ride on Sunday.. tried out some roads that'd make me think twice if my 675 wasn't getting fixed

Roads like:
Pekanui Rd - nice sealed road, tight and technical but doesn't connect to another fully sealed road
Pirongia West Rd - a one laned goat trail that hugs the southern side of Mt Pirongia
Okupata Rd - an ok road 50% sealed 50% gravel
Te Rauamoa Rd - A Gravel Rd with easily enough gravel to make a whole other road

I went through Kawhia Rd and am still puzzled at why it's closed aside from the padlocked gate close to one end and the stolen gate 500mtrs on, the only other obstacle is a little dip in the road that the daytona would've got across

LOL... kinda.. It self destructed it's Reguator/Rectifier in a big plume of smoke..

Too much bad luck on this Daytona

in the past 6 months:

someone has crashed their bike right behind me
someone has crashed their bike right in front of me
1 flat tyre
1 hole in radiator
now one fried regulator/rectifier

Time for a different beast.... and no... not a beemer

Getting bloody sick of this weekend weather. Had my first whole weekend off in yonks and thought I would go for a ride Sunday then all hell broke loose and it pretty well peed down all day.

Next weekend looks no better but will keep an eye on it with a look at a shortish Sunday ride

Cloudy with rain developing later. Gusty northeasterlies.

Saturday 14
Rain, easing to a few showers. Strong northeasterlies easing and turning northwest.

Sunday 15
Showers with little wind.

Monday 16
Showers with northwesterl

Please be kind weather gods - But hey theres still Wednesday night at the pub to go this week!
