xgnr and myself are heading down , leaving dorks around mid-day Friday. A friend of a friend and his mate who've never been before are heading down on Saturday so should be a good knees up.

Metservice are predicting snow to low levels on Friday nigh / Sat morning so should be cracker photos.

I wish, can't leave till about 8pm unless I can get away from work earlyer then it's Lindis, Tekapo etc.. to miSta's arrive about 1:30/2:00 am then maybe inland rd to Kaikoura, Picton then stop at Kapiti for a few then on to site sat via... follow the one in front

As tempted as I am I'm afraid I'll give it a miss this year (have been before) too many other pressing commitments.

But looking forward to catching up with the 3 intrepid Southies. We'll be going out for a beer on Fri night - (at yr fav beach bar Katie lol -see meetings and events)

Well ya might need a local to follow as the roads up here are very tricky to follow, sh*t load of cops and dumb ass cages everywhere, then loads of towns, then road works, and roads that NEED road works. If ya get past all that then you had a good local so you might make the site. (if he does not get lost trying to show you all the back roads as these are the best)

some kind young man has just sent me a message about the coldkiwi driveway i have just turned 75 and have a new bike would like to ride it down there for its 1st trip i am about worried about the driveway as i have just had a hip operation could anyone maybe ride it down the driveway for me

brought it a year ago after my wife died and i havn't ridden it yet someone said the driveway might be a mess after all this rain
