Got any pics or link? Wonder if its the zxr250 I rode upto auckland for a guy and sold to him a couple of years back, how funny that would be if it made its way back down here.

    Ride to Waipukurau

Going to have a look at the Central Hawkes Bay Festival at Pukeora Estate, Waipukurau today. Will be leaving BP Stortford Lodge at 12.30.

Had my cell replaced so have lost my ride contact list.

Thanks George. Was a good day out and neat to catch up with you again. The Daytona not the best for two up rides!

Came home yesterday and was a trail of green water under the VTR. Considering she has only been parked up it is a bit of a worry. Will have to investigate further.

    hard out!

it doesn't have rego or warrent yet but it runs ok, needs a service and a couple of things but it rides well on stale fuel.

v8s&2wheels i'll put some pics up tommorrow. I'll get the bike running nice and so keen to come for some rides when I'm a bit better at riding. it is no slouch lol but i guess nothing compared to a reall bike.

Waddaya mean? A real bike is anything with an engine and 2 wheels. Except scroters. And Hyobags. But that that goes without saying.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

lol my bad that is very true.

took a photo of what shes like before i clean her up. got a few things todo on it:
good service, all fluids & filters
new front tyre (has plenty of meat but it sat with bugger all air in it and now there are afew small cracks that leak air slowly)
give it the best clean it has ever had
    carb clean and balance
    new fork seals
get a replacement air intake tube
    fix up the fairings
find some pillion foot pegs, and work out a way to fit a small pack rack

one thing i have noticed is it has abit of slack between being off the throttle and on it. what could that be? the chain isn't loose but haven't had a close look at sprockets. maybe it was just the way i was riding it.

Do you mean free play in the throttle cable...or lag?

Could be many things. Including you not used to a 4 cylinder?

thats probably the most likely thing, I will have to bring it round so you can have a ride on it to test it out.

If your coming upto a really slow corner like 20kmph or less do you clutch for the transition from braking to accelerating. eg first gear braking(coming upto roundabout that you can go through but at slow speed), get to lowish revs pull it in then start slipping it as you take off again? or be easy as on the throttle?

No need to slip the clutch. Shouldn't be in first in a roundabout etc anyway...

    Happy to take a look/ride it/whatever.
