Good you're looking after yourself anyway, no point in glossing over it and no stigma - I think this whole "you'll have aftershocks for weeks" thing is a big wake up (sadly literally for some) for the wider NZ public, it's always been portrayed as sort of becoming definite outcomes from a fixed initial event after maybe 3-7 days (eg tidy up, repair, or relocate while evaluate/rebuild)... Again, a bit of a big reality to live with.
FJRider has offered his place to anyone that needs it! Only thing is you'll have to put up with me and my daughter

Same arrangement as last week with riders joining in along the way. (Check my post for last week Page 64.)

And I second that about no major quakes. Quakes of 3 to 4 I can live with if I have to. My flat on the second story of a 100+ year old wooden house gets whiplash with 5 to 7 quakes!!!!
Have a safe ride guys! Gloplg, I did wonder how your place went..

Just in case anybody doesn't already know, the chaneys onramp onto the motorway is trashed, and the old waimak bridge is possibly still closed. Probably the best way out of town is to ride the waves down cranford street and up the main north road.

So one way or another I'll pick you guys up at the pub in belfast on the way through, unless someone posts otherwise for a change of route.

    See ya on the road.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

What time do you reckon? I think I need a ride ...

Edit: Just read previous posts and it looks like you'll be at the Peg around 1220, so I'll be there by 1215.

Can you imagine my surprise (the first 2 pics) when I arrived at BK this morning to find 14 or so bikes lined up in the car park.

Only to be told that They were going off road over the penninsular. Closer inspection revealled the bikes to be offroaders rather than our usual SatRide bikes.

Anyway later after the other mob left we had a good ride up to the Greta Valley for lunch.
