I'd imagine if someone were to crack open the ECU then inside it would be some sort of common and relatively inexpensive flash or EPROMs holding the fuel maps/trims. Surely your yurrupean cuzzies can purchase these aforementioned chips, bung em in another ECU, program them up before removing the aforementioned chips and sending them to your good self to have em bunged into your ECU?
No doubt one of the multitude of electronics experts on this site will know if I'm talking bollox...which i probably am but that's what happens when you finish work at 3pm on a Friday and get stuck into Stil vodka.

Oh really! That is some good info cause I have heard some storys. I was wondering why I have been seeing aftermarket clutches popping up[/QUOTE]
I don't think I'd get too carried away as if I'm not mistaken, the rules for SBK don't allow aftermarket clutch's, just plates and springs. This is unless these new invisible rules change that!
If you have any questions with ya touring bike Choppa, I know the guys Jeremy Toye and Chris Peris that have been developing the SR1000 in the states and I sure I could get some info out of them if need be. They both had exactly the same issue with ECU and had to send to Alpha Tech, made big difference.

Oh cheers thanks Dom! Im looking forward to getting the ECU done, might have to wait a bit longer though.....
I would be keen to get some info out of those guys in the states. They were some of the first domestic series guys to start racing them
Maybe all four of them could hold hands and cross the finish line together?
Looks like I won't be there as there are not enough chairs from a line up![]()

Soooooooo, any word on the race/class format? There were murmurs of combining F1/F2 at one stage to even up track time. Be great to see more of Nick, Craig, Choppa, Dion.....or is just same old same old with bugger all track time for the blokes most folks want to see?
