I really do think that Road racers are being penilised by continously giving up races ( yes full races - there used to be 3 per class, rain, hail or shine ) to accomodate the minority.

Perhaps sidecars should start up a club and run meetings for side cars - giving a FULL meeting back to road racers. Or AT LEAST get a chair rider to go to and contribute at a VMCC monthly meeting?
You mean continuously as in only 3 of the 6 rounds or is there a different definition of continuous now? Why not give them a chance?

    Why?????
It's kinda strange isn't it, maybe they just need a bit more notice about the winter series as I suspect many of them had their whole season planned out and that didn't involve running over winter. The motards had their chance, didn't bother turning up and whined a lot. I'm kinda with Neil/Paul on this one. Give the chairs a class next year but if there's only a handful of entries at the first round then get the BEARS out for the remaining rounds.

In a first time case yes you're right - however i was attending VMCC meetings about 2-3 years ago which was the last time we had chairs in the program. Unfourtunately that chance was used by many chair racers ( probably not all ) as a way of entering a meeting getting a stamp on their MNZ book then leaving!! this was to qualify for battle of the streets.......

Call me stubborn but it seems that its more often than not chairs have low numbers, have LARGE mechanical issues ( such as at hampton this year ) and cause large hold ups during recovery...

Unfourtunately my experience ( as small as it is ) has not since chairs in a good light. If there was a "chair club" that had 6-10 different classes with 150-200 chair entrants..... and a bike class approached them for some races and had 5-8 entrants turn up, which sometimes caused the problems i mentioned above - how would that club feel about bikes...........

Prove us sceptics wrong - get a good swag of entrants and put on some great races!

Have you ever heard of the Taupo Road Race Spectacular you munter?
Sidecar guys putting on a royal show for the two wheeled brigade.
Sadly, some of the "big men" of the sidecar scene that essentially live just down the road compared to some of us, have a serious case of CBA (cant be arsededness) & have not entered this meeting.

I went to the last round of the VMCC Winter Series and there were TWENTY sidecar compeitiors there. Ten outfits; twenty people. Other classes are combined on the track to build up the numbers, give the competitors a chance.

You live in the same city go and ask them
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."
