A big "thank you" to the young lady out riding her horse and who spotted the bike/rider off to the side of the road.

Condolances to the family and friends.

Really awful - what a horrible way to die - alone and unnoticed.
He has since been named in the media and next of kin notified. Only 32 years old. Terrible.

    Ditto that.

He may have had only minor injuries and could have died from drowning.

Post Mortem will establish the facts, but that is not a nice way to go.

I just read the update on this story. What a horrible way to start the week. It makes me realise how lucky I am to have my partner who had come off his bike and was found in a ditch. To this day i still thank the people who pulled over to see what the light in the ditch was. I hope he may R.I.P. My deepest condolences to this family.

or do you want to stop all vehicles, can you spell revenue?

Nix Myth and his band of worriers were off to Australia a few weeks back to find out how Victoria managed to reduce their bike fatalities by 20%.More legislation to come methinks.

    RIP rider.

RIP peace, the lady that found him I went to school with, we can only say "if only"... very sad indeed.

as for Nix Myth, they could start by spending more money on the roads, Franklin roads are shocking to say the least.

Incredibly sad indeed. How about we all get a bit more proactive about these things and actually report bad roads? If they dont know how bad they are, they cant fix them. If they do know how bad they are and wont then we shame them.

I for one, am sick of councils and roading authorities ignoring the impact of piss poor roads on bikers safety! I strongly urge both of you, and anyone else you know, or who reads this to take a personal action and start loggong these bad roads. We have to take positive action ourselves.

Here here on reporting roads. The council just about knows me on a first name basis now!

Unfortunately, the councils don't seem to care due to the changeover of councils to the Super City. Nevermind, the Super City concil will get to know me on a first name basis too!
