From what I hear in California, once you pass your BHS there is no limit to what sort of bike you can ride. So, it's not uncommon to see guys on Hayabusas who have only just got the hang of riding. Then they crash and blame the bike.
What you have in your heart will be revealed through what you have in your life.

If things are going badly in our circumstances, the answer to what is happening to us outwardly is more often than not found in the mirror.

I'm not 100% sure what a BHS is however, in most places in North America you can ride whatever you like once you pass a parking lot test. YES, IT IS A JOKE!!!! but it is real. Most places in Canada have a bit more to it than that, but it is still ludicrous. So this is how our system works..
    - written test, you have to redo the rules of the roads and signs (even if you have a car licence already) plus the written motorcycle test. This get's you your M1. Restrictions include, no highway, no nights, no passengers, 0 alcohol... there are NO bike restrictions, and it is valid for 90 days.
    - then within those 90 days you have to get your M2.... it is a parking lot test.... and a half decent test, but there is still no bike restriction. In fact the only restriction you have is 0% alcohol. This licence is valid for 5 years, but you can go for your FULL M within 18months (no sooner) of getting the M2.

So ya, we have a ton of newbies that scare themselves right out of motorcycling, because they bin their GixR6ZXRR after a few months of getting over confident. Lots of folks also suggest a 600 supersport is a great beginner bike.... they worry they'd get bored of an SV650 or a GS500e... that would just make no sense you know.... why buy a bike that you are going to sell in 1 year... or 2. Some listen, most don't.

    Check out Shervin's album.

Edit: I see this is a repost. The guy is an urban myth already!

Why couldn't he have bought a Honda?

Shervins photostream has a photo diary with 'how to' advice.
If you have a claw hammer and a big fuck off adjustable spanner you too can maintain your bike.

I like the way that he doesn't allow a lack of skill or knowledge hinder him

That'll explain the guys I saw in the US riding 'busas, wearing backwards baseball hats, singlets, shorts and sneakers - while getting a ciggy out and lighting it as they cruise along the freeway...never saw one bin though

Shervin has total self belief. Feeling foolish isn't in his lexicon

You've got that right! I thought you were kidding about the claw hammer/adjustable wrench until I viewed the pics

I don't think Shervin need ridicule, i think he is probably either taking the piss or has a mental disorder. I would guess the latter and that he is either mentally retarded or has some kind of psychotic manic symptoms or something. Either way i'd feel bad making fun of him. Just looking at the work hes done in making this muffler it is reminiscent of what a 12 year old would make. To believe its worth publishing on the net he has to have something wrong with him. Either that or he has a expensive sense of humor.

Well, he did post a 92 pic album of projects that didn't quite work out.

So he does accept that he doesn't always achieve the kind of perfection that he presents with his bike posts.
    Keep on chooglin'

Here is a thread about a guy who obviously didn't engage his brain before deciding to clean his chain.
