riding to hamilton on fri, best route plan? think it'll be vinegar-desert rd-west side of lake taupo-tokaroa to hamilton on the main route. Any roads of awesomness I'm missing? also whats the fuel stop distances like? I get between 150-180km per tank.

    i'd go this way

because taumarunui to eight mile junction is FMS and highway 39 from otorohanga is pretty sweet too

you could go through vinegar hill and then left at waiouru and across to highway 4 but the paras from wanganui north are also minty mintastic

haha, nah doesn't need much, but you can't take much with you either! Found out its time to start writing my thesis now, so I procrastinated by doing up the ZXR triple tree to fit the bros. Hoping to have the new front end on it by the MAG-NZ taupo fundraiser and show-n-shine in november.

Minty mintastic indeed although if time weren't too much of an issue you could also go Rangiwahia and across to 4 at Waiouru, beaut road that.. Either or as far as I'd be concerned.

I don't think it is actually a V-Tec model, they were later model as far as I am aware.
The V-Tec, if it has it, is the retarded system like the viffer where it will make the change from 8V to 16V.
