national park route was FMS, the ascent from wanganui had some awesome slow twisties, bit nipply at the top though, then mint again from taurmanui to te kuiti.

However what's not mint is my charging system is fucked, not sure what exactly is wrong with it though, could be stator, could be rect, dunno if I have enough time to properly check em, stator is generating voltage so it probably the reg/rect...

The Rec tend to get a bit warm and sometimes smell like burning Honda.

That's irritating. The man who won the auction for my cage popped over to pick it up, pessimistic pull through may I say, looked at it, started it (no choke and looked befuddled as to why it was idling rough) looked around it and said it didn't match the "vision in his mind" and said a very nice good-bye. I was well tempted to give him one upside the swede. So, I have gone to all the trouble of arranging a deal on a bike, sent Mr Bogan to look at said bike, arranged to pick it up in the morrow and well, that won't happen unless my hind quarters has a wad of cash up it. Not a happy chappy. Waste of time and listing/success fees.

You don't realise how much you miss riding, till the weather & other stuff all conspire against you for a couple of weeks in a row. I think I must be hooked

Yeah I could be keen. Sarge's ride would be a bit too far for me, but do want to get a few more K's up before taking my baby to Opunake next weekend.

Ditto. Just had a nice little pootle with YNOT and the ladies. A little cool, but a nice lunch / drinks at the Waterford and coffees at Ashhurst. Owner really keen on the bikes and mentioned the Friday Night Crowd. The Oktberfest next weekend (Saturday) looks like fun. Got to get in more practice with the pillion, but she holds on nicely

Agreed, having some genuinely nice weather to ride always lifts the spirits too.

I think more people should wind it out near my place.
When you get under the train bridge heading north of Eke, open it up. You'll get a good run up and as you go across the bridge just a little further you shall go past my place, beep the horn or hit the clutch, make my day!
