    I am still buzzing!

What a fantastic day! A HUGE thanks to everyone that helped pull it all together. There were a few mistakes made, and for certain we can make improvements in some areas, but WOW what an awesome turnout. So many faces, so many people to remember the names of Apologies to those that I had to ask. I made my own way to Drury so got to experience the bikes as they arrived, singly, in small groups, and then in a huge big rush! Noisy but

We got a bit distracted and did not manage to release our famous MAG Anthem, which is a bit of a shame, still who knows what may happen next

    Highlights for me...

Seeing so many folk turn out to support us. First time ever, I got a dry mouth giving a speech to the converted I got to meet a couple of cool "famous" guys. With apologies to Patrick Malley, who for the record is a fantastic, young man, my highlight was meeting Andrew Stroud The number of times I have watched him race and been totally in awe, and I got to meet him, and talk to him and.....

I got a sausage for those that know my culinary phobias it will be a surprise, however it was cooked to perfection. What was the mustardy sauce stuff on them? That was actually really yummy.

Seeing the guy that got the Track time as a spot prize, return from burning up the tarmac with a grin that about blinded you was magic. I must make sure to be around when Patrick Malley gives his rally experience to see the smile on the face of the guy that won that.

Being the kind of gal that always takes a positive stance, the final highlight of the day is, I actually like a short clutch lever Lovely, two finger jobbie, easy as to operate, and no one laughed when I dropped the blue lovely in the poxy carpark thanks to the small stones my foot connected with as I stopped

Mom, Maha, Max and all the others in the MAG-NZ crew, a bloody good show was had by all!

I managed to totally miss the South departure, so made my own way down to Drury a little early, where I was set upon by a flock of older blokes who espied a 2 stroker and spent 15 minutes talking about the beasty Betsy!

I joined MAG... using the money I was supposed to be saving to buy a home brew kit on Tuesday BUT! It's for the greater good... so I know the beer gods will provide in time...

Finally met the portly pootler Fat Max, the sheep slaughtering Toaster, chewed the fat (Max free variety) with a few other familiar faces, and managed to have some good conversations with various other ragged ruffians, before having the illustrious Mr Stroud call my name to step forth and get a spot prize... yay!

So good on ya MAG-NZ crew, united we stand - falling is not an option!
    At the 2007 Westpac Ride:

Donor: So ya glad you're a Biker?

    Minnie: F**k yeah!

What a great day. MAG-NZ put on a very well organized event and the weather couldn't have been better. There were heaps of really nice bikes parked up along Great South Road including a 1937(?) Indian that got heaps of attention.

It's going to be real interesting to see what MAG plan next

The day just got better and better to be honest, we rode to Drury from Oteha Valley rd, all 35 of us. Kept the speed at around 80-90kph and managed to catch the Westies up around the Manukau area.
The Launch itself went really well, so cool to see people that you have not seen in a while.
Everyone involved from the sausage cooking to the massive spot prizes and venue made the day really.
DEPOT4 put forward some awesome gear for spot prizes and about 135 discount vouchers.

Wynw came down from Whangarei and won a Puke ART Day spot prize.
He hadn't been on a bike for number of weeks but, off to Puke we go!
    Done well in group 3.
Stayed and watch three groups then headed back to the Jolly Farmer for and hour or so to kick back a bit before heading home.
Anne has been to Wellington and back this weekend and I went to Rotorua yesterday so Monday is sleep in
Big weekend, looks like next weekend will be no different....WIMA here we come.

That was a rock and roll start alright and seeing Andrew Stroud up close was an eye opener... no hint of the streak of steel that must run through a winner like that.

And the visit to the ART day as well (thanks AMCC): I might have to get some tarmac friendly tyres on the Freewind and have a go at Group 1 this summer: it looked like a real hoot.

Only downside for me: I forgot my cap and my baldy head has taken a bit of a hammering under all that glorious sun! But I'll take that

Edit: and a big thanks to Drury Performance Centre and DEPOT4 as well!

    mag launch.
well done mom & maha, great day at the launch,
however i think kb has changed some what, i must explain, kb used to be a great place to meet people on line as well as at events, i can now understand why new kbers say that they find it hard to meet more kbrs.
i went to shell west gate to meet up with kbrs to head to the mag launch, i aproched a group of people & asked if they were kbrs at all, yip was all i got,??
no introductions at all, no attempt to even introduce them selves or any of the other group, so my question is, has kb realy changed or is it just a certain group of kbrs that like keep thems selves secret??

I plead guilty to being absent ... but I have good excuse! ... um, well ... it's like this ..

Situation in my life circumstances have changed somewhat ... I am treading into waters I am not fully briefed on ...

I find myself in completely new territory, which I am still trying to come to grips with ...

This is where I now plead the fifth! Or whatever other amendments that will help me!

From what I heard, bloody good show - it's just a pity I couldn't make it!

(and from those who know me, I do have a bloody good excuse!)

You'd better or I'll have a posses of three on your dorrstep next term Mr! LOL missed ya GI.

I'd be very surprised if any of our MAG-NZ people were the ones you spoke to
    Nutbar.
KB is what you get, when you get it, I've never had a problem meeting fellow bikers actually out there in the real world where bikes are ridden on not so great roads etc.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

I hate it when that happens. If it is who I I think you are talking about, he would be horrified to think he did not give a good impression. He is a great guy, so I'm sorry if you got a different impression, he was probably just a bit distracted.

I would hate to think of the number of people I have given the flick to today, unintentionally, just because I was so busy and distracted. I guess this has to serve as my apology to them. Sorry guys.

Thank you for coming along to support us. Are you signed up as a member of MAG-NZ? Come along to the next event we hold that you can attend. Come and make the time to introduce yourself to me. Not all of us are KB members, infact there are more than a few members of MAG-NZ I know of that have not even attempted a log on to KB, they either dont want to, or have never heard of this forum...

I know it is easy to think that KB is the only place bikers meet, but the reality is many more bikers are not members of KB than are members.

Sorry you felt out of place. Like I said earlier, we got some stuff wrong, and there are lessons we have learned from today.

Had an awesome day, HUGE thanks to the team for putting on a top class event, and to the guys at Drury Performance Centre for putting up with us all today. The weather was brilliant (got major sunburn to prove it) and the whole organisation of the day was better than I've personally seen for a long long time. Congrats to the prize winners too (I wanted a new lid but someone didn't agree with me there!)

Seriously, today was a bloody good turnout, great to see so many different classes of bikes and bikers there, and the cars were pretty cool too! Can't wait to see what the summer months ahead hold for us, but I for one plan on being at as many events as possible! (Did someone mention a run down to Wellington...? KEEN!)

Also, I am more than impressed with the friendliness of the MAG-NZ crew, I had the opportunity to meet some really cool people, and share my opinions with theirs, which I believe is what the biker community really needs. You know who you are, keep up the good work!

Thanks again to all those involved in putting together such a great day.

    MAG-NZ ... DO IT!!!

    1990 CBR250RR - fully rebuilt and awesome!

Top job Anne. Never easy trying to pull something like this together. Now we just have to get it rolling.
