    1993 GSX750F - no wof

My bike just failed its WOF, and from my perspective, it's not worth fixing.

All 3 brake discs are below the minimum thickness.

The front tyre is nearly worn out.

The engine has a bit of a rattle - don't know what it is - and a bit of an oil leak, from near the top - probably cam cover gasket.

    The seat is cracked.

    Good bits:

It has some petrol in it!

    Remus 4-1 exhaust, minor scratches.

Ventura pack rack and headlight cover.

I've had an expression of interest from the mechanic at the shop.

I can post pics later - and there are several in the Wellington Tag-o-rama thread, though not recently. It's the one in my avatar, though that's not a very good pic.

I'm sure it's either fixable or sellable as parts by someone with more time and inclination than myself

    Any offers?

    Richard

    Yes it is. Interested?

I won't be taking up the offer mentioned above for a week, since he's gone to the GP, so it's just here for now :-)

    Cheers,

Ok, I can't find the rules for attachments (cf embedded images), but I'm sure most of the tagorama ones are bigger than these, so here goes.

Probably, yes. One thing I forgot to mention; not only are they thin, but the left front one has too much play on its dowels as well - also recorded on the WOF checksheet.

I've since heard there's someone around who can make replacements? That might make it a bit cheaper than the presumably OEM ones I was quoted.

If he's offered you more than $100, you should take it.

Crikey where did it go for a warrant?? Just had the speed triple done at MOT and watched them complete the check. Bunch of Morons. I think I will take it to a bike shop from now on for my own safetys sake. No way does the VTNZ here check disc thickness etc.....

Wellington Motorcycles. Yeah, I went to VTNZ once - once was enough. The tester got me to do the brake test, because he wasn't prepared to ride it. This was about a month into my learners licence IIRC, so I wasn't that confident myself ...
