Basically they discovered that one of the point to point cameras (aka, they time how long it takes to travel between two cameras) did not have its clock synchronised for 4 years, and has been wrongly issuing tickets.

New Zealand is looking at deploying this same camera technology.

So obviously there was no procedure to calibrate and check the cameras.
