How to make a RGV150 faster

Hi, I just got a RGV150 and want it a bit faster. thought you racers might have some Ideas. I think 6th gear is restricted but not sure how they are restricted. Also what mods would make the most difference? Carbon reeds? pipe?

    Thanks for any help.
    Cheers

You definitely should try it....but be warned that they're rather addictive
You'll possibly find too that the reason its not as fast as you'd like, is YOU!!

I think he is looking to get more straight line speed out of it.

I don't know if much can be done and if it would be worth it but if you are interested in improving your skills as a rider then give the track day a go.

You will need decent riding gear which may include a full set of leathers depending on who is running the day. You would need to contact www.pacclub.co.nz if you want to know the details as these are the guys running the track day next Saturday.

Just throw away the V. It will be much faster as an RG150.
Seriously though - Developing yourself then the bike it the right order. Fully recommend having a crack at a track day or two

Find a bike fuck off hill and cane the living shit out of it.
I managed to get my old baby RGV to just brush the ton before I ran out of road.. but that was seriously pushing it RIGHT to the limit and beyond.
That bike was on P or something, I swear.

But yeah, work on your riding ability first and foremost. Best thing you can do.

    Hi Max,
R u going to Race the RGV or just ride it on the road?.
If you intend Racing it then try and get yourself along to Manfield on the 30th October where there will be a few Racers up there with the same bike who maybe able to help you sort out your problem and it will give you a chance to see for yourself what Streetstock Racing is all about.
    Just an idea.

Mass is gonna be an issue with a little bike, maybe go on a diet or something.

If it were my bike I'd put it in the back of my station wagon and switch the boost controller to a low setting.

I believe that 6th gear is restricted by the fact that it is geared to tall for the pussy motor to pull.
