    See post #157 above.
No I dont, you first need to find the animals, and then stalk them. Would you prefer the fair contest of the animal that is bred to die? They have a much better chance of living don't they?

The above analogy is pointless. Oh whats that, your not a vegetarian, so you cant take the moral high ground. oh ok.

And thats the difference, saying it out of jest or spite makes the world of difference.

"just aren't quite right in the head" You aren't here to learn any fuckin thing at all. You have already made your assumptions right there.

Virtually every time. Still I am happy to chat about it aimably.
I think you will find that analogy would be meant in a slightly different term. As in "you would have to be mad to do something as scary as that". A completely different head to the one you are inferring.
I actually admire that sort of mad, means you got some major balls.
In the hunting saga you refer to the analogy you refer to is completely different.
read the first couple of quotes above, just in case you have forgotten what you said and then tell me that you haven't already made up your mind.
By the way, what does "AIMABLY" mean???

Disagree. That terminology is for those that deliver the criticism to make them feel better.
If you say something in jest and it is with a soulful tone, it will be taken in jest and people will listen. If you want a scrap, just raise your voice and you will get required reaction due to the tone it is delivered at. It's a human instinct.
I you wish to NOT react then you display a certain lack of emotion and you walk away. Nothing achieved!

You miss my point completely. My point is, no matter who you are in life, no matter what you do, what you believe in, what you practice, there will always be someone who disagrees with it, and who challenges you on it. This you can't change. What you can change however is how you react to it.

So for you hunters here who have got upset about what SCB has said, you've only got yourselves to blame for getting wound up.

But what about all the bikers that got wound up about what the govt said about bikers and then started to make changes to the ACC levy? I agree with the sentiment of what your saying ... to an extent.

I think we should stop upsetting them. I mean they are already getting all defensive over a couple of questions, and look at what happens when they dont like the way you brush your teeth.

What about getting wound up by the atrocities committed by governments to innocent victims of oppression throughout modern history.

Sorry are we comparing apples with apples or fucking someone making comments about the actions of hunting supporters and a government raising ACC levies?

Honestly man, if you need me to explain the difference then I'm already wasting my time.

Just in case you think I'm on the 'anti-gun' side of the fence I'm not. I'm all about people enjoying themselves in any way, as long as it harms no one else or their property.

Excuse me. We didn't bring it up and if we did, it would be in a more amicable manor.
I agree with the rest of what you have said. My problem is being labeled a nut job because of what i happen to like or believe in.I don't make reference to anyone as a head case if i don't happen to agree with them or dislike there passions in life.
    That simple really.
The old saying of the reactionary being at fault for the way he/she reacted is bolony.
Don't say shitty stuff and we should all get along nicely.
It's that first crappy statement that starts the ball rolling. To not react to it means you simply have no feeling towards it.

Of course it is. Thankfully most people also understand this, myself included, and respect it as well. However there will always be those that don't.

So whatcha gonna do about that? Like I said, it is up to you.

No it means you have better self control.

I will have my turn at the dock and say my piece also. It's called a democracy.

No it means you have better self control.
Self control is the ability to NOT smack a moron in the chops.
Verbal discussion can be conducted without doing that quite easily.
To walk away from a simple verbal discussion is to show very little interest, to walk away from loosing control and hitting someone is self control.
And before you disagree with that, I'm walking away.
